Tribute to Neil Thomas Gilchrist

It is with great sadness that I write this tribute to my beloved partner of 27 years. A friendship that began in February of 1976, and continued until his untimely death on 24th April 2003, Neil was 67 years old. A very humble and unassuming man, enjoying the simply things in life. He loved a bet on the horses and greyhounds, spending many hours at the Enmore TAB, Sky racing channel was almost a permanent fixture in our home TV.
He was also a devout Christian Catholic, with deep faith. Neil was always one who would give to the less fortunate, and helped anyone in need. An above average sportsperson, he excelled in Rugby League, Cricket and Squash. Testimony to the kind of person he was, is reflected in the wonderful turn out of friends and family, in the most horrendous weather conditions to pay their last respects to this beautiful person.
A special thank you to all our friends from MAG who came to say goodbye to Neil, I will never forget the love and support that has been shown to me at this very difficult time. Thank you all.
