Phil Scott

He has appeared in, composed and co-written revues such as Three Men and a Baby Grand and Abroad With Two Men for the Tilbury, Zen and Now for the Adelaide Festival, and Free Petrol and The Year of Living Comfortably for the Sydney Theatre Company.
As a writer, Phil has worked in television on The Gillies Report and Good News Week and has published four novels, the most recent being It’s About Your Friend. With Jonathan Biggins, he has written a new translation of Offenbach’s Orpheus in the Underworld for Opera Australia (scheduled for 2003). Originally a Musical Director, Phil began performing one-man cabaret shows at Pastels in the 80s. As an accompanist he has worked extensively with David Campbell and recently with Wendy Harmer. Phil’s cabaret show Serious Cabaret has been seen in Sydney, Canberra, Darwin and at the inaugural Adelaide Cabaret Festival. A CD of the show was recorded live at the Glen St Theatre.
